RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
Research and Development (R&D)
- At CARA Yakhteh, our R&D efforts are focused on developing autologous CAR T-cell therapies that target, malignant cells in hematologic cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma.
- These cancers originate in the blood and immune system, making them ideal candidates for T-cell based interventions that can circulate, recognize, and eliminate diseased cells with precision.
- Our therapies are designed to genetically reprogram a patient’s own T cells to express chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) that specifically bind to tumor-associated antigens—such as CD19 in B-cell malignancies or BCMA in multiple myeloma.
- Through rigorous preclinical studies and translational research, we are optimizing CAR constructs, improving cell expansion protocols, and enhancing safety profiles to maximize therapeutic impact
- Our pipeline includes investigational therapies that aim to overcome resistance mechanisms, reduce relapse rates, and offer durable remissions for patients who have exhausted conventional treatment options
- By focusing on personalized cell engineering, regional patient data, and clinical collaboration, CARA Yakhteh is committed to bringing innovative CAR T-cell therapies to patients across Iran.
