We are a young, multidisciplinary team with expertise in biotechnology, molecular biology, immunology, cell biology, genetic engineering, and therapeutic research.
We are driven by scientific curiosity but grounded in the discipline needed to turn complex biological ideas into therapies that can be made, tested, and evaluated.
For us, knowledge becomes valuable when it can be shared, applied, and turned into something useful.

Turning a scientific idea into a therapy is complex. It takes more than understanding how biology works. It requires expertise in engineering, process design, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory requirements.
We think about how a therapy will be made, tested, and evaluated from the very beginning — not after the science is finished.
At CARA Yakhteh, GMP requirements, process design, quality, and manufacturing are part of how we approach advanced therapies from the beginning.

A MILESTONE — AND A BEGINNING
From scientific work to regulatory recognition
In 2025, CARA Yakhteh’s CARTIVATE received a Medicine Registration Certificate (Marketing Authorization), also known as an IRC, from the Iranian Food and Drug Administration.
This milestone reflects years of work across scientific research, cell engineering, process design, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory activities.
It shows that we can take an advanced biological approach beyond the laboratory and navigate the scientific, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory steps required to register a therapy.
Building on this experience, we are advancing additional cell therapy and gene therapy programs through early-stage development, while expanding our work across immunotherapy, genome editing, and cell therapy.
Our ambition is to bring new therapeutic approaches to patients in Iran and, over time, to patients in other countries, particularly where significant unmet medical needs remain.
Ultimately, the purpose is simple: to make new treatment options possible for patients facing serious diseases.
